The land of the quokkas strives for circular economies
Capital recently undertook demolition and earthworks for Firm Construction at the Hotel Rottnest Expansion Project. Our focused recycling methodology led to the opportunity for the Rottnest Island Board to utilise Capital’s expertise and equipment to transform a stockpile of demolition spoils on the island into a usable quality road base for maintenance. As part of the project, eighteen existing hotel rooms were demolished to allow for the Hotel Rottnest will expand to 80 new luxury rooms, two new pools, function facilities, a spa and a gym.
Rottnest Island is a key tourist spot and this expansion allows it to continue to cater to its large number of visitors.
The Capital Recycling difference
Capital Recycling are more than just a commercial and residential demolition company – we recycle and reuse all waste building products that we can, with the exclusion of non-recyclable materials such as foam and end-of-life products. We take reusable building materials such as bricks, concrete, footings, clean rubble, limestone and sand and remanufacture it into road base and drainage rock.
We offer services from waste removal, demolition, asbestos disposal to crushing and screening and site remediation services.
